Here's the Cal-Neva Lodge on the north shore of Lake Tahoe.  We like the north shore much more than the south shore because it is more rustic and quiet.  There are no big casinos here.  We stayed at the Cal-Neva for four nights.  The lodge is very 1950's is archetecture and feel.  This was the lodge that Frank Sinatra used to own and the one the Marilyn Monroe used to visit.
